Why We Built This Site
Michigan offers several public access routes, yet each answers a different question. The Alcona County Sheriff's Office creates local incident and arrest records. District and circuit clerks keep court filings and dispositions. Michigan State Police runs ICHAT for public statewide criminal-history searches, while MDOC operates OTIS and MSP manages PSOR. Alcona County also uses a written FOIA route when no dedicated portal exists. We bring those official channels, fees, office details, and request steps into one clear reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: where to reach the Alcona County Sheriff, the Harrisville court clerks, and Michigan record systems
- Official check steps: how Michigan name-based ICHAT searches and fingerprint record reviews differ
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are found and read in Alcona County
- Record relief information: where Michigan set-aside applications begin and which office verifies the result
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not an Alcona County or State of Michigan office. We are not connected with a court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We do not issue certified court papers, criminal records, or rap sheets
- We cannot submit a Michigan set-aside petition or FOIA request for a reader
- We do not run official background checks or retrieve a person's record
- We cannot give legal advice about a charge, warrant, conviction, or case
- We cannot promise that every government fee, hour, address, or phone number will remain unchanged
Only the issuing sheriff, court clerk, or Michigan State Police can provide an official record. We identify the route, but the document must come from its custodian.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their own results, prices, and service terms. We may receive a referral fee if a visitor follows one of those tools and purchases a service, which helps fund free access to this resource. We do not set the provider's price or decide what its search returns.
