1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It neither stores official records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or submits documents for users.

Its role is to identify the Alcona County Sheriff, local criminal courts, Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center, and Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry as appropriate custodians, while also linking to optional outside tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Run scrapers, bots, or other automated tools against these pages
• Use information to threaten, stalk, or harass another person
• Interfere with site access or slow the service for others
• Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any system
• Violate federal, Michigan, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information here or in a linked tool to threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate, or discriminate against a person. Such conduct may be criminal. Michigan PSOR specifically warns against unlawfully injuring, harassing, or committing a crime against a listed registrant or anyone at a reported address. Registry data is for safety awareness, never vigilante action or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any check needed for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General descriptions of Alcona County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or Michigan set-aside rule applies to one person. Consult a Michigan-licensed attorney for that advice.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

Michigan law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Michigan. Public records held by Alcona County remain subject to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., while Michigan State Police dissemination of criminal-history information is governed by MCL 28.242.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A new version becomes effective when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may restrict or end access at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all others remain effective. The affected language will be changed only as far as needed to make it enforceable.
